Have AI assistants cite your brand when answering questions from your industry

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategy for your content to be a source of generative responses.

What is AI Engine Positioning (GEO/AEO)?

Generative AI engines—ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, and their successors—are changing the way users find answers. Instead of receiving a list of links, the user gets a conversational synthesis that cites or does not cite sources that the model considers relevant, reliable, and useful. The discipline that works to make your brand one of those cited sources is known as GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). At Q2BSTUDIO we design and execute GEO/AEO strategies so that your content, product, and brand authority are more likely to be included in the answers attendees generate to questions in your industry.

The process starts with understanding what questions your audience is asking in these engines, how attendees are currently responding, and what sources they cite. Based on this analysis, we designed an opportunity map that crosses user intentions, business capabilities and presence gap against the aforementioned competitors. We don't just optimize text: we work with entities, structured data, thematic authority, external mentions, information consistency, and content experience to build the signals that models interpret as relevance and reliability.

The execution includes reviewing and improving the existing content architecture, creating resources with a suitable format for citations (clear summaries, verifiable data, direct answers to specific questions), strengthening the brand entity identity (Knowledge Graph, properties in external sources, NAP consistency), optimization of structured data beyond what classic SEO requires and continuous monitoring of citations in different assistants. We also coordinate with the technical SEO team when improvements share signals (authority, architecture, internal linking), but we distinguish metrics and indicators because GEO operates on a probabilistic system with less transparency than Search Console.

It is important to underline what GEO/AEO cannot promise. Generative models are probabilistic, changing their fonts and logic with each update, and offering no fixed positions or guaranteed visibility. There is no official console that confirms summons exhaustively. What we can do is build the conditions that maximize the probability of appearance: useful content, recognizable brand, consistent data, demonstrated authority, and understandable format for models. We measure observed appearances, mentions, referral traffic from attendees (when the platform exposes it), evolution of brand signals and comparison against cited competitors.

GEO and AEO complement organic SEO but do not replace it. As long as Google continues to show classic search results (and it will), organic visibility by architecture, content, and technique remains a must. GEO adds the layer of readiness so that when the user asks an attendee, your brand has a real chance of being the cited source. In the Online Marketing and AI hub we work with both disciplines as complementary, with coordinated teams but differentiated metrics and execution.

The service is tailored to the maturity of each company: from presence audits on generative engines and prioritization of quick opportunities, to continuous optimization, measurement, and coordination programs with SEO, content, and communication. We report progress, limitations, and recommendations transparently — we never promise appearances or positions in generative responses.
